March 31st we celebrated Grandpa Smitherman's 86th birthday out at the lake. It was a bittersweet gathering, as he had just been diagnosed with pancreas cancer 2 weeks before. The entire family gathered, shared memories, prayed and celebrated his life.
Grandpa David, as the kids called him, died April 28th - just about a month after these photos. This day will be remembered fondly in our minds.
