It's a bit after the 4th, but we had some extra snakes and sparklers the kids have been asking to do. Funny how much they love the simple fireworks. Those black snakes that grow entertained them for quite a long time. Ian was asleep for the actual late night fireworks last weekend, but we brought him out for the back yard mini-show tonight. I should have snapped a picture of the chickens, who also came to watch the spectacle. One of the chickens I am sure ate a snap pop firework, thinking it was some delectable morsel. We'll hopefully not end up with "fried" chicken later!
